How important are Community Groups?
We believe that true disciples of Jesus are made in relational environments and communities are just that. As we look at Jesus’ example found in scripture, we made disciples inside of community. A community that did life together, invested in one another, love each other even when it was hard, and pushed each other toward living this Jesus this life in their home, church, and the world.

They are important. We want everyone that calls Hill City home to be in a group and investing in people.

What is the time commitment?
Groups usually last about 90 minutes. Some groups have dinner together before or after that would increase the time. Each group time will have a time for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. Most groups meet weekly, but some groups have an every other week schedule.
How long do they last?
Each group session lasts 9 to 12 weeks. We have Fall, Winter & Spring sessions. At the end of each session, you will have the choice of staying in the same group, trying a new group, or even taking a break. Most groups stay together throughout the entire year. Groups typically do not meet from mid-June through August.
What does it cost?
Few things in life are free and groups are no exception! The cost of being in a group is the cost of commitment. During the first meeting, each group will review a “commitment agreement” together. This simple agreement helps each group discuss their priorities and commitment. Part of that commitment is the promise to attend each week.
What about child care?
Groups are for adults only (Exceptions can be made for nursing newborns, up to six months). Most groups have a childcare plan in place to take care of your loved one. Ask your group leader when they reach out.
